Tropical Storm Alex formed on June 25, 2010, just off the coast of Central America near Belize. It was the first named storm of the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season. Late in the evening on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, Tropical storm Alex became the first hurricane of the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season.
